Trenchwing
About Trenchwing
By Underbergheim58 playsCreate a 3D first-person WWI biplane dogfighting game over trench lines, with a secondary scenic map inspired by Stranda, Norway, and its fjord. Use semi-realistic visuals and fog to obscure map outskirts and suggest a larger world. Keep flight accessible and fun while retaining believable aircraft handling and damage. Begin with a menu to choose the blue or red faction and one of one or two available planes, then choose a spawn point. Spawn on foot in first-person beside the selected plane; ground movement has no steering, and one button is used to enter the plane and take off. Fly scenic sorties and hunt enemy aircraft, with easier beginner bots, hit markers, and faction-appropriate prestige planes available for purchase rather than appearing as boss enemies. Award extra cash for blimps and killstreaks; use cash for planes and modest accuracy, damage, and health upgrades. Aircraft take location-based damage: five hits cause smoke, eight cause fire and a slow downward spiral, and five hits to a wing, main body, or rear can break that part off. Enemy pilots visibly bail out and deploy parachutes. When the player is shot down, let them choose to bail out or go down with the aircraft; after bailing out, provide a parachute descent and a respawn button. Keep the initial plane selection small and the upgrade system simple, with easy-to-fly controls and fun, believable combat....more
