2D Game Asset Generator
Describe a sprite, icon, background or tile and download a game-ready PNG.
From a prompt to a game-ready PNG
- Step 1
Describe it
Name the subject, the style and the view, for example "pixel art knight, side view, blue cape".
- Step 2
Let Auto pick the type
Sprites, icons and UI come back transparent; backgrounds and tiles fill the frame. Choose the type yourself in Advanced options.
- Step 3
Download the PNG
Preview the result, download it, and drop it into your engine or a game you build on Rosebud.
One PNG, every engine
Rosebud
Building a game here? The asset tab in the editor has the same types and saves the art straight into your project.
Unity
Drag the PNG into Assets and set Texture Type to Sprite (2D and UI). For pixel art, set Filter Mode to Point and Compression to None.
Godot
Drop the PNG into the FileSystem dock and assign it to a Sprite2D or TextureRect. For pixel art, set the default texture filter to Nearest.
GameMaker
Create a Sprite asset and use Import to load the PNG. Transparent pixels stay transparent.
Phaser
Load it in preload with this.load.image('knight', 'knight.png'), then place it with this.add.image or this.physics.add.sprite.
Roblox
Upload the PNG through the Asset Manager in Studio and use it in an ImageLabel, ImageButton or Decal.
2D asset questions
What kinds of 2D assets can I generate?
Sprites, VFX sprites, icons, UI elements, backgrounds, character portraits and texture tiles. Leave the type on Auto and it is picked from your prompt, or choose it yourself in Advanced options. Each type uses a prompt tuned for that kind of game art.
Do sprites come with a transparent background?
Yes. Sprites, VFX sprites, icons, UI elements and character portraits have their background removed, so the PNG drops onto any scene. Backgrounds, tiles and Any type keep the full frame.
Can it make pixel art?
Yes. Say so in the prompt, for example "a pixel art knight, 32x32 style, side view". Naming the style, the view and the palette gets you the most consistent results.
What format are the downloads?
PNG, which Unity, Godot, GameMaker, Phaser, Construct and Roblox Studio all import directly. Transparent assets keep their alpha channel.
How much does it cost?
Generating uses Rosebud credits. Nano Banana 2, the default model, uses 1,700 for full-frame art and 1,750 for transparent art, which includes removing the background. Flux 2 Flash, under Advanced options, is faster and uses 250 and 300. Free accounts get daily credits.
Can I use the assets in my game?
Yes, in games on Rosebud or anywhere else. Paid plans include commercial rights.
Can I animate a sprite?
Yes. Upload a character to the sprite sheet generator to get walk, run, attack and idle animations as a ready-to-use sprite sheet.
