How to Create an AI Character with Rosebud AI

With Rosebud’s easy-to-use templates, you can also create and chat with fully customized AI characters. Here’s how you can start building your own unique character in just a few steps:

Step 1: Customize the Character

To create your own AI character, go the Character's template and click on the Remix button. This allows you to modify both the image and personality of the AI just with prompts.

Step 2: Update the Character’s Image

Once you are on the game maker interface, go to the Assets tab and upload an image you’d like to use for the character. For example, you can use an image of Monica from “Doki Doki Literature Club.”

With the image is uploaded, tell Rosebud to change the character’s image. Use a prompt like: “Change the character image to @[Image Name]”.

Step 3: Define the Personality

Customize the personality by asking Rosebud to create a new character description.

You might say: “Create a character that talks like Monica from ‘Doki Doki Literature Club’”. You can also describe the character traits—confident, charming, or anything you’d like—so our AI can add them.

Step 4: Test the Interaction

Interact with your character to see the updates in action. You could say something like, “Hey Monica, nice to see you again!”. The character will respond based on the traits and personality you’ve set.

Step 6: Enjoy and Explore

Congratulations! You’ve created a fully customized AI character. Experiment further by tweaking the personality or trying different images. Rosebud makes it super easy to bring your characters to life, all without needing coding skills.
